File rename utility

Post by Rob Ryder on Wed 21 Feb - 20:23

Hi
Can anyone recommend good file rename utility for Win7, cheap or free.
It must be able to perform bulk/batch renames of all or selected files in folders/subfolders based on a template.

Thanks

Thanks to you both.
BRU looks too powerful/complex for what I need.
I'll give Flexible Rename a try and I can always go fall back on BRU if I don't like Flexrename.

This is the program I have used reliably for many years. Add files you want to batch convert at the bottom, set the rules for them above (with a detailed set of rules possible), and hit go. I've used it for all of my F1C work and elsewhere.
