Thunder:
Are you sure those photos are from Monza-64?
Because then the 12 cylinder engine was tested in GP practices.
Do you have any information on that?

On the other hand, I still think they are from 1965 because Forghieri usually tested several engine and chassis configurations, so I'm not surprised by the differences with the car that participated in the race.

MotorSport Magazin, October 1964, the Italian Grand Prix report (pages 24-25):

Compare these photos (Ferrari and Honda in the garages):

Look at the floor - the same boxes.

This photo is posted in the 'Formula 1 pictures of 1965' thread, but in my opinion it is also 1964:

In my opinion this is not the Lotus 25 by Chris Amon, who did not really appear in the GP.
Maybe it's Geki's De Sanctis F3.
It looks like Revson's Lotus 24 compared with this:

MotorSport says: 'As Revson had entered his Lotus 24, with B.R.M. engine, he took Amon's place in the entry list, his car being looked after by the Parnell team anyway.'
Perhaps there was number 42 on Revson's car at first? scratch

Revson, Italy
I like that idea.
I read somewhere (I do not remember where) that the Revson Lotus had a Lola body.
And according to information from Motorsport Magazine, I would say that car # 42 was Revson's and the number was originally assigned, which later changed to # 38 in the absence of Amon.
Sorry for my English.
