Kind of mystery photo. I'm almost sure that this is James Hunt at the wheel of March 712M. But there were no (or Paul Sheldon books don't know about them) F2 races in which Hunt had #31 as starting number. Also on the car's nose we can see advertising - we know that Lord Hesketh didn't like sponsorship and financed the team from his own pocket. So it can be another team. Works March maybe because Hunt was their works driver in F3 in 1971 and in 1972 till Monaco. Any clues what race it can be?

Well, Hesketh put an advertising in the nose of Hunt's car in Mallory Park, 1973. A technical advertising but an advertising never-the-less. And I see another unidentified advertising in the sides of the car..[You must be registered and logged in to see this image.]
